What you are buying
Predominantly early-to-mid-century colonials, tudors and capes on modest lots. The east side toward Ridgewood carries higher prices; the Radburn-adjacent southwest is more moderate. Very little new construction — the town is essentially built out, so the market is renovation-driven.
Getting to Manhattan
Glen Rock Boro Hall station serves the Bergen County Line to Hoboken; Glen Rock Main Line station, a half mile away, runs to Secaucus and Penn Station. Between them you get a departure roughly every twenty minutes at peak.
Schools
Glen Rock Public Schools runs four elementary schools, a middle school and Glen Rock High School — consistently among the strongest small districts in the state, and a significant share of the town's price premium.
Where people actually go
The eponymous glacial boulder sits at Rock Road and Doremus Avenue. The Rock Road business district is small but real — a bakery, a hardware store, a few restaurants. Faber Field and the Wilde Memorial Park carry the recreation programmes.
